South farms is about ready to unveil the latest in rustic elegance. The white barn, a family-run and operated farm, which has been in the same family since the early 1940’s, is unleashing a lovely addtion to Litchfield County. They undertook a huge renovation of the old dairy barn. It is both rustic and chic. I was so thrilled to check out the work in progress last week (construction will be completed by late February). The barn can hold up to 300 guests, and is the perfect setting for a rustic wedding. This is the first of it’s kind in the Litchfield, Connecticut area. As more and more couples are looking for alternative venues, and fleeing to the country for destination weddings, this is great timing. Barn weddings are on the rise, as seen all over the pages of Pinterest and bridal sites. It is a welcome venue here in Litchfield County. Sarah Worden and Ben Paletsky are heading out the venture together. Ben is the grandson of the original owner and Sarah (Sarah Worden Natural Designs) is the events coordinator who has been in the wedding industrysince 2009.
