book a session for 2015
Wow, you guys, we’re nearly towards mid February, and there’s about three feet of snow on the ground. I am sure planning a summer or spring or summer photo session may be the last thing on your mind. BUT, as the sun is shining today, I swear I can smell spring. Really. Which has me thinking about my spring & summer schedule for booking family lifestyle sessions.
Typically I have been pretty lazy about premoting my family lifestyle sessions, I have relied souly on referrals from happy families that I have worked with for many years. And it is fabulous. BUT, I would love to try and focus this year a bit more on family lifestyle sessions. I have put so much into weddings, and I swore up and down I would never only do weddings. I like the balence of both. It keeps it all fresh, and makes me super happy. Also, the thing I love is photographing people + love, and I am crazy about photographing it between families. So there is that.
It seems the last two years I’ve barely been able to squeeze in sessions with repeat clients, who have me document them each year, let alone, add new clients to my calender. One of my most favorite things, is meeting new families, and creating a bond with them as their family grows. I love visiting their homes, or meeting up in a pretty spot, having a picnic, whatever. The truth is, it dosn’t have to be a fancy thing, it’s just all about documenting in a really authentic way. My goal is to have you take home a handfull of gorgeous art-type prints to hang all around your house of the people you love.
I’ve done this whole, photographer thing for so many years now and have learned some heart smashing, bank account terrifying lessons along the way. But I think i’ve finally settled into a system that not only works for my business sense, but also works to honor my beloved clients and give them a bit of a deal where I can.
So without further ado, here is all the info you need to decide whether or not you want to book a session with me this year:
How much does a family session officially cost?
For a session I charge a flat rate of $500. This includes all of the edited full resolution files from our time together, and an online gallery. From the gallery you can order prints, framed images, etc. They will be delivered directly to you. A 50% non refundable retainer is required to book your session and the remainder is due the day of your scheduled shoot. Sessions last up to two hours at various locations (depending on your preference). Family sessions are inclusive of immediate family members up to 6 people. Each additional person is 50.00 per person.
Infant, Maternity & New Born sessions can last anywhere from an hour to two hours. The flat rate is 550.oo. And includes all of the above as well as an 8×10 framed image. Approximately 50 edited images.
How much can I save if I have hired you for photos in the past?
$100 off the official price! Kinda a lot. I believe in showing thanks to those of you who have helped me along the way, and that’s you. This is a lifetime, savings, so even if I raise my cost for a session, you will always receive $100 off the printed price.
How much can I save if I book before February 28th?
all clients who book their 2015 session before February 28th can save $75.00 off of the official price.
How far will you travel? (umm, I live in New York, New Hampshire, etc..)
travel is included if you are with-in 20 miles from me. Beyond that I have to at least cover gas & my traveling time, I do charge an extra 50.00 for Southern Fairfield Counties. And aside from that I charge the IRS milage rate if it is more than an hour from my home studio. I also travel around New England quite a bit in the summer & fall, so even if you live in Cape Cod, or New Hampshire, email me, I may be available.
Can I qualify for all the discounts always and forever?
I wish I could afford it! Unfortunately you can only choose from one of these discounts.
I totally understand budget restrictions and do not wish to push anyone past theirs.
