Spring and summer in Litchfield County, Connecticut is THE best .

Spring and Summer are truly my favorite times of year in Litchfield County, CT! Everything bursts into color and greenery, and the season is just beginning. From relaxed family get-togethers to engagement sessions at Topsmead in Litchfield, and long June days filled with tented weddings, I’m so drawn to these natural elements—I simply feel most comfortable outside.
If you’re new to the area or have grown up here and are planning your wedding in your hometown, I know you must have experienced that burst of excitement after a long, cold winter. It was unbearably cold, and we had so much snow that we broke some records here in New England. I’m so looking forward to longer days and beautiful golden hour sessions.
Here’s the latest update for my summer sessions:
I’m now booking out June Summer sessions, and I have limited spots available. If you’re on the fence or thinking, “I want to do this, but…now is the time to make that session happen,” now is the time! I’ve made it even easier to book your session by heading to this link and finding a time and day that works for you, booking, and paying a deposit, and just showing up!
I love the late afternoon for these long summer days moving forward. The light is just better, and it lends itself beautifully to that airy, film-like texture that I’m known for.
Included are all the digital files online gallery and a handful of prints.
Family sessions or small groups of less than six start at $750 and last approximately one hour. If you want to reserve a spot, I’ll have four available in June, some on weekdays, as that’s what my schedule allows. If you’re a weekender and not here full-time, I suggest grabbing that first spot—they’re usually the ones that go first.
Places and locations I love for a classic Litchfield County vibe:
1. Shepaug River: If you’re looking for dark and moody with artistic dots of light, this is for you.
2. Topsmead State Forest – Imagine a charming Tudor home and garden perched high on a hill, offering breathtaking views, beautiful gardens, classic architecture, and plenty of open space.
3. Your home is always a meaningful choice if you love the land and it holds special memories. It’s perfect for capturing authentic, everyday moments with a variety of backdrops, from lifestyle portraits to documentary-style images. Imagine baking a pie with your kids or picking flowers or vegetables together—simple activities that tell a richer story. These are just a few ideas. There are so many beautiful spots to photograph in and around Washington, Litchfield, Roxbury, and New Preston.
I look forward to connecting with you, wheather tou are new to Litchfield County, or weve already met.
