This Backyard Wedding in Sherman, CT as as lovely as it gets.
I photographed this backyard wedding in Sherman , CT at the grooms family home, where he grew up, a rural and rambling property with the Litchfield hills as a a backdrop. They traveled back to his hometown, from the Carolinas, with their dog, and two cats. It was a total family affair in the truest sense of the word.
It is the second time this year, and I am sure not the last, that have been able to photograph an at home wedding. One of the greatest reasons I love working with couples who choose their childhood home as their wedding setting is that it makes the entire wedding feel elegant, casual, and laid back.
I absolutely loved this backyard wedding, and all the families, and friends that attended. It was
effortlessly chic, with a warmth and love that glowed for days afterwards.
What made this wedding go so beautifully, was the vendor’s and planning. A lot of love went into this wedding planing. Between family, and the vendors, they knew exactly what the couple was looking for. From flowers to table setting, to the comfort food appetizers ( tomato soup shots)! But my favorite was were the truffle fry appetizers.
